The first far-reaching social responsibility project of the Business District of Porto, a group of companies that gather the GDP of the Port Region, the “Código Brazuca” was born with the proposal to transform the lives of up to 20 young students from Morro da Providência and insert them into them in the competitive electronic games market.

With a duration of 10 months, the classes will enable students to seek vacancies as dev trainees (young apprentice). Those who stand out the most will have two options: join Studio Lab RioGamer, a systems development software house ready to serve startups and companies in general, or participate in the Pre-accelerator Program for Games startups, in which they will be able to create their own business in the eSports segment.
The “Brazuca Code” follows ESG criteria, which defines good environmental, social and governance practices. Among its principles are the eradication of poverty, quality education, reduction of inequalities, partnerships focused on goals and decent employment associated with economic growth. The project can be replicated in other locations in Rio and Brazil. The “Codigo Brazuca” will be officially launched on the next 9/11 at the new headquarters of RioGamer, at Edifício Novocais, in Porto Maravilha.
