About the Company

Overview
In response to the Horizon Bridge hack, which resulted in the loss of $100 million in assets on the Harmony blockchain, a dedicated group of community members united to explore creative recovery solutions. Initially, these discussions involved a small core team but quickly expanded to include validator stakeholders, ecosystem developers, partners, external advisors, and financial industry experts. This collaborative approach led to the formation of the Recovery One Foundation.

As Recovery One grew, it embraced the broader Harmony ecosystem, inviting new ideas, proposals, and solutions from the community. This inclusive process strengthened the foundation’s proposals and made the recovery plan more dynamic and resilient.

Mission
To recover depegged assets and strengthen the Harmony ecosystem through community-governed action.

Purpose
Recovery One is a governance foundation in the cryptocurrency sector, representing the interests of $100 million in depegged token holders, 60,000 digital wallets, and the broader Harmony community. Our core mission is to recover digital assets stolen during the Horizon Bridge exploit and to bolster the Harmony ecosystem through community-led initiatives.

As a HIP 30v2 Recovery Burn Partner, Recovery One plays a key role in facilitating the recovery process. With support from the Harmony One Foundation Grant and a Burn Grant, the foundation drives its mission through strategic partnerships, innovative projects, and community-governed solutions.
